Terms of Service
The basic rules for using Sikwati responsibly and commercially, plus how billing and cancellation work.
You may use Sikwati only for websites you own or are authorized to manage. You are responsible for the content you scan, the prompts you configure, and the actions you take based on the results.
You agree not to abuse the service, bypass plan limits, interfere with scans, scrape the application itself, or use the platform to probe infrastructure you do not control.
Workspaces and team access: workspace owners are responsible for who they invite. Members can see only the websites and reports their workspace grants them; the owner is responsible for revoking access when someone leaves the team.
Sikwati offers four tiers: Free workspace, Starter, Pro, and Agency. Each tier has explicit limits on sites, tracked prompts, citation queries per month, competitors per site, and auto-tracking cadence — see the Pricing section on the homepage for the current numbers.
Paid plans are sold on monthly or annual cycles, billed through PayPal. Annual plans are offered at a 20% discount versus the monthly equivalent. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings or directly inside PayPal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep paid-tier access through the period you've already paid for, after which the account drops to the Free workspace state. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry through PayPal's standard retry schedule. After repeated failures, paid features are reduced to the Free workspace state until billing is restored.
Some plan changes can unlock access immediately in-app after PayPal approval, even if PayPal applies the new billing amount on the next cycle. Where PayPal does not support an in-place change, the new plan takes effect on the next billing period unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Some parts of Sikwati may still be in beta. Features can change as we improve reliability, reporting, billing, and collaboration workflows.
We aim for a dependable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or perfect detection coverage for every page, crawler environment, or AI model. AI engine providers occasionally rate-limit, change response formats, or return errors; when they do, the affected citation runs are recorded as failed and retried on the next cycle.
Citation tracking is performed by sending your tracked prompts to third-party AI engine providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity). Their terms of service apply to those API calls. We do not control what those engines respond with, and we do not guarantee that any particular engine will continue to be available, accurate, or unchanged over time.
Excerpts of AI engine responses are stored in your account so we can detect brand mentions and benchmark performance. You acknowledge that those excerpts are content generated by the AI provider, not by Sikwati.
Sikwati provides product guidance, prioritization, and reporting tools, not legal, compliance, or professional advice.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided as-is and the operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform — including any business decisions made on the basis of citation tracking data, AI engine responses, or generated reports.
These terms may be updated as the product evolves — most often when we add new processors, change billing details, or expand collaboration features. Material changes will be communicated by email to active accounts before they take effect.
